SPT GROUP's (formerly Scandpower Petroleum Technology) main business activity is to develop software for multiphase flow, drilling and reservoir simulation. In these areas the company has extensive experience. They develop and market OLGAź, which is the market-leading simulator for transient multiphase flow of oil, water and gas in wells and pipelines with process equipment. This product is developed through 30 years of research and field testing. Oil & gas companies Statoil, Norsk Hydro, Shell, Total, ExxonMobil, ENI E&P, and ConocoPhillips have been the main supporters. In the research area, IFE and SINTEF have performed the experiments and modelling in collaboration with SPT GROUP. A recent PIPEFLO feature, developed in cooperation with SPT Group now allows for the automatic creation of an OLGA input file from your PIPEFLO case, making a subsequent transient model simple and fast, and with fewer errors. This is a natural extension to the application of their steady-state technology OLGAS long available under license within PIPEFLO, WELLFLO and FORGAS.

The FORGAS/IMEX software is a result of a cooperative venture between Neotec and the Computer Modelling Group ("CMG"). A special interface has been developed that couples CMG's 3-D black oil reservoir simulator IMEX to the wellbore and surface facility modelling capabilities of Neotec's gas deliverability forecasting software FORGAS. Neotec has created an pipeline module, known as PIPESYS, for AspenTech's sophisticated new process simulation software HYSYS.
