On June 2-4, Neotec will be exhibiting at the Muliphase Technology Conference which will be held at the Banff Park Lodge Hotel in Banff, Alberta (Canada). Neotec President and CEO Steve Smith is this year s chair person. The 12th Multiphase Technology Conference will give the latest proven field techniques plus novel approaches currently being tested. Market leaders are seeking innovation. For Multiphase Technology to be a success, solutions are needed for the solids encountered whether its removal before transmission in the case of sand, or containment, without the need for chemical treatment, in the case of hydrates. As our production systems become more complex, we need answers. Now we must seek not only the practical answers to the wide range of climates, topographical environments and ecological challenges but also the vision to see where this technology must go in the future. At the conference attendees will have the opportunity to discuss new research and developments, to consider innovative solutions and to explore technology transfer between industries at a technically high level. PIPEFLO and WELLFLO Link - January.20.10January-20-10 10:52 AM
Neotec is extremely excited to announce the link between two of their products WELLFLO AND PIPEFLO. Users can now link well deliverability calculations using WELLFLO to a PIPEFLO case. PIPEFLO now includes a "Well" element which acts as a source. The well element requires only a path to the WELLFLO data file, which will be run automatically while running the PIPEFLO case. An exciting new advancement in Neotec's PIPEFLO software, as users can now link PIPEFLO to either HYSYS® or UniSimDesign® process simulator models. A new "Simulator" element has been added which is used as the fluid exchange point between PIPEFLO and the process simulator. The simulator element connects to a particular stream in the plant simulator program and automatically exchanges pressure, temperature, flow and composition between PIPEFLO and the simulator. Multiple simulator elements can be added to a PIPEFLO case allowing for complex interconnections between the two models. For example PIPEFLO could model a gas gathering network and then pass the collected fluids to the process simulator for processing. The resulting fluid streams can then be returned to PIPEFLO for it to model the downstream transmission pipeline as well.
